Covid 19 : A person slapped Sec 270 of IPC for endangering lives of people
Pakyong, 23 Mar : West Sikkim Administration has slapped section 270 of IPC for carelessly endangering lives of people against a person who reportedly arrived his home town Upper Dodak in West Sikkim from Europe on 20 March followed by negligently attended Antheshty Kriya (Funeral Rite) of his relative at Kaluk village. West District Administration has initiated an action against Diwas Gurung for not following 14 days quarantine procedure which is mandatory in this moment of Pandemic emergency due to Covid 19 (Coronavirus Outbreak).

Follow Up Dodak Case Of Flouting 14 Days Quarantine by Diwas Gurung
Dodak COVID-19 Case
Mr Diwas Gurung resident of Upper Dodak against whom SDM Soreng had ordered action has not developed symptoms as of now.He will be shifted to Quarantile Facility today for some days and Soreng Police has collected details of his travel history , his recent visits in local area which will be submitted to District Administration.More stringent actions will be ordered to any one flouting home quarantine protocol.At present West District has almost 100 persons on home quarantine with some 20 persons in Soreng Sub-Division alone.As of now no one has any symptoms of COVID-19 and they are under compulsory home isolation as notified by DM West.
