Covid 19 : IPR Minister Makes Visit To Rangpo
Rangpo, April 05: (IPR) Hon'ble Minister Shri Lok Nath Sharma chaired a meeting at Rangpo today to ensure smooth passing of vehicles loaded with essential commodities and relief materials to every godown and identified locations in all districts at the earliest.
Following the proper guidelines of social distancing, the meeting was attended by the Managing Director SIMFED Shri Pawan Awasthi, Chief Medical officer (CMO) District Hospital Singtam Dr. T. Laden, SDPO Rangpo Shri Kushal Gazmer, SDM Rangpo Shri Prem Kamal Rai, Joint Secretary Chief Minister's Office Shri Deepen Sharma, Police Inspector Rangpo Shri Kessang D Bhutia, General Manager SIMFED (ICS) Shri D.R Dewan, General Manager (P/A) Shri Yogesh Gurung, and? General Manager (F/A) Shri Sherap Bhutia.
The Hon'ble Minister discussed in detail the various aspects and challenges being dealt with at the gateway of Sikkim and urged the officials to follow the correct procedure to identify and allow SIMFED and other designated vehicles carrying relief materials and essential commodities like vegetables, rice, potato, oil, pulses etc. after completing all precautionary measures, so that the beneficiaries will be availed notified facilities at the earliest.
He also applauded the relentless efforts of every official and staff working at the Check post and further encouraged them to continue their proactive services with utmost sincerity to save the state from COVID-19.
