GOOD FRIDAY & ESTER GREETINGS OF THE HON?BLE CHIEF MINISTER (10th APRIL)
The Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang has extended his warm greetings to the Christian brethren and the people of Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of Good Friday.
Easter also called Pascha (Greek, Latin), is one of the most important days for Christians all over the world. It marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion on Good Friday.
I'm his message the Hon?ble Chief Minister has stated that Good Friday is a holy day which symbolizes the supreme sacrifice made by Lord Jesus Christ for the humankind. The crucifixion of Jesus and resurrection on Easter Sunday are manifestations of the triumph of good over evil.
In the present times, there is no greater lesson to learn than that of forgiveness and brotherhood amongst all irrespective of religion, caste or creed.
Referring to the current scenario due to COVID-19
The Hon?ble Chief Minister has informed that the Government is taking all necessary steps and is well prepared to face any challenge and threat posed by the global pandemic.
He has urged the people to practice social distancing, quarantine or isolation measures in an effort to slow down the spread of disease.
On this holy and pious occasion, let us all uphold the noble ideals of peace, harmony and brotherhood.
May this solemn occasion of Good Friday bring good health and happiness to the people of Sikkim.
