106th Birth Anniversary Of Sir Tenzing Sherpa Observed
Pakyong, 30 May : 106th Birth Anniversary of Namgyal Wangdi Sherpa aka Tenzing Norgay Sherpa was observed with galore in West Sikkim, Tenzing Hillary Park . Exact birth date of Tenzing Sherpa is unfound since having come from poor family and himself being 11th child in a family of 13, as such specific date of birth wasn't recorded by the family or by anyone. On 29 May 1953 around 11:33 AM Sir Tenzing Norgay Sherpa with Sir Edmund Hillary conquered world's most daring and unconquered peak Mt. Everest!
