Former Chief Secretary Donates 6.91 Acre Land To Govt For Construction Of Hospital In Soreng
Gangtok, 03 Jun (IPR): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Shri P.K. Pradhan former Chief Secretary and his family and the Government of Sikkim at Samman Bhawan, here in the capital today.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri P. K. Pradhan expressed his gratitude towards the State Government for choosing his land for the noble cause of constructing the Community Health Centre (CHC) which will be named after his Late Grandfather and hoped that such noble works shall be carried out in future too for the welfare of the state.
Former Chief Secretary Donates 6.91 Acre Land To Govt For Construction Of Hospital In Soreng
A land measuring (6.91 acres) owned by Shri P. K. Pradhan and his family in Soreng, West Sikkim has been donated to the Government of Sikkim.
The Chief Minister termed it as a historic occasion for the people of Sikkim and the Health Department.
He also informed that upgrading the Primary Health Centre of Soreng to Community Health Centre(CHC) was one of the topmost priorities of the Government for which funds have been allocated for the construction during the last budget session.
The Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Shri P.K. Pradhan and his family for this noble gesture shown by them.
He also directed the officials to expedite the process of registration of the land donated and start the construction at the earliest.
The CHC shall not only benefit the people of Soreng Sub-division but also cater to the neighbouring remote villages.
