Covid 19 : Sikkim Recorded 14 Positive Cases In East Sikkim
Pakyong? , 12 Jun : Director General cum Health Secretary Dr. Pempa T Bhutia, they have a travel history of Mumbai.
9 are from Bahai School Quarantine Ranipool, 3 from Iepecac Garden Ranipul and 2 from PNG School Gangtok. All 14 positive cases are shifted to STNM Hospital. Theses 3 facility quarantine centres has been declared as containment centre.
With this total positive cases surge to 24

Gangtok, June 12(IPR): As per latest information received from DG cum Secretary Health Dr Pempa T. Bhutia, a total of 14 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the State.
Out of the 14 positive cases, 9 have been reported from Bahai School Quarantine Centre Ranipool, 3 from Ipecac Garden(Saramsa) Quarantine Centre and 2 from PNG School Quarantine Centre in East District.
Out of the 14 new cases, 11 are female and 3 male. 12 are returnees from Mumbai and 2 from West Bengal. The youngest patient is 2 years 3 months.
All the 14 persons have been shifted to isolation ward of STNM hospital on the night of 11.6.2020.
It was also informed that these facility quarantine centres have been converted into containment centres.
With the outbreak of new cases in the State, contact tracing of all the primary contacts of the persons have already started and testing will be done immediately.
