Covid 19 :Total samples tested in NBMCH Siliguri and STNM VRDL Lab Is 3525
Pakyong, 02 Jun : As per the IEC Bureau State Health Bulletin on Monday evening , the DG cum State Health Secretary Dr. Pempa Tshering Bhutia briefed summary of statistics related to Covid 19 related cases in the state and testing.
Dr. Bhutia apprised on Monday Bulletin that Viral Research and Diagnosis Lab VRDL has started functioning as such is now enabling testing RTPCR (Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction RT-PCR) inhouse within the state instead of having sent samples to North bengal Medical College and Hospitals NBMCH Siliguri.
So far after enabling STNM VDRL plus NBMCH as of now , Total samples tested in NBMCH Siliguri and STNM VRDL Lab Is 3525.
Below is the summary as on 01 June 2020 last Daily Sikkim State Health Bulletin
Total Samples sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, Siliguri, till date - 1625.
Out of which, 930 have tested negative and 1 has tested postive for Covid-19.
694 sample test results are awaited.
Total Samples tested (RT-PCR) at Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory, STNM Hospital till date - 514.
Out of which, 356 samples have come negative and 158 test results are awaited.
Similarly, TrueNat Machine at STNM has so far tested 1386 samples.
Out of which, 1315 have come negative and results for 71 samples are awaited.
Grand total (NBMCH and STNM) of both RT-PCR and TrueNat till date = 3525, out of which 2601 have come negative, and results for the remaining samples are awaited.
