Threat Looming Over Aapdara 25 Families Due to NHPC Stage V Dam
Pakyong, 27 Jun : While the monsoon has begun, afresh cases of landslides apathy has started tickling across the state of tiny Himalayan State causing inconvenience to public once again. Series of landslides already is reported in Social Media TVOS where despite several callous things aren't going well it supposed to be when it is about human safety.
One major reason of landslide is the dam which is scientifically proven fact, dams constructed across major rivers of Sikkim is a paramount of big disaster in coming time as there has been no well contingency thought about.
A village Aapdara residing near Dikchu in East Sikkim where NHPC Stage V Dam reside , that which is operational has been continuously come under shovel of criticisms since atop 25 families are losing their land as well as living in brink of untoward future disaster , distress and apathy for which they've been vouching their grievances since 2015 unfortunately all their grievances disseminates each year without bringing to conclusion for their proper re-settlement and compensation. Once again the dam has started troubling the lives as voluminous water starts eroding leftover formation of private land in steady pace as usual.
