Covid 19 Update Sikkim
Gangtok, July 21 (IPR): As per today's Health Bulletin issued by DG-cum-Secretary, Health, Dr. Pempa T. Bhutia, 25 new cases have been reported in the State in the past 24 hours.
1 case was reported on TrueNat, 3 on RTPCR and 21 on Rapid Antigen.
The breakup of persons who tested positive on Rapid Antigen is as follows:
5 persons tested positive from Rongli, 4 from Rhenock, 12 from Rangpo, while there was no positive case in Singtam.
With this now there are Active 222, Cured and Discharged 108, Migrated In Out 02 of total 330.
Five of admitted patients are shifted to High Flow Nasal Nasal HFON in ICU not in Ventilator.
Out of the three persons who tested positive on RTPCR, one was a returnee lodged in a paid quarantine facility in Gangtok, one person was from Namchi South Sikkim, and the third person was a youth from Arithang Gangtok.
Dr. Pempa T. Bhutia informed that more cases are being detected in areas where contact tracing is being carried out. He said that the details of the new cases would be shared tomorrow.
He also informed that 5 persons undergoing treatment in the Isolation ward of STNM Hospital have now been shifted to ICU and are under High Frequency Oxygen Flow Meter. He said that they are responding well to the treatment and their condition is improving.
