Covid 19 : Villagers starts barricading bridges to curtail community transmission
Pakyong, 19 Jul : Tiny Himalayan State Sikkim starts reeling under Covid 19 positive cases with latest figure as on Saturday which just touched 274 according to State Health Department Daily Bulletin. Now the people have started seriously grilling their brain over inflating cases day by day as such villagers in East and South District of Sikkim have devised a way to cut-short transmission of Covid 19. On Saturday villagers of East Sikkim in Tareythang, Bering, Kaijaley constructed barricade by nailing the entry using plain sheet , bamboo through village bridge over the local river. Similarly villagers of Namthang South Sikkim in South Sikkim constructed barricade to obstruct movement of people throughfare Jholungay Bridge below SMIT Majhiat in East Sikkim.
