Review Meeting Of Ranipul - Pakyong NH 717 A Project

Pakyong, 24 Jun : A second round of crucial meeting was held today at community hall here in Pakyong which was attended by the Namcheybong Constituency Area MLA Sh Em Prsad Sharma , followed by SDM Pakyong Sh Hemant Rai, AD RO Sh Kushal Gurung, official representatives from the Project Developers side, villagers and public of Namcheybong area.

It may be recalled that on 18 Jun public and commuters staged dissatisfaction peaceful informal protest at Samsing informing the administration where contractor assured that public and villagers plight will be addressed, following which today meeting had been notified in broader manner as such concrete decision are set on record under the purview of administrative notice, obliged by four member Adhoc cause steering committee.

A power point presentation was presented by the developer assisted by AD RO Sh Gurung to gathering. Minutes of meet rendered following decision which was accepted by everyone.

Road works takes place as usual however considering mobility should be unaffected on rest portion of road for public.
Public information display and sign boards needs to be placed along the stretch.
There should be provision of open RCC culvert instead of Hume Pipes considering outbreak of monsoon.
The haphazardly stocked tree logs , tree parts shouldn't obstruct the movement of public which otherwise can be dangerous for both human and as well as vehicle. So, they should be cleared.
There should be no compromise on quality and standard of NH 717 A since highway is also lifeline for state in terms of national security which mainly connects with border areas including Dokhlam, Nathula etc. Pakyong also being major town having operational airport there will be massive inflow of visitors worldwide after completion of Highway.
