Pakyong, 23 Jul : West Sikkim wood crafts enterprise 'Khechuperi Bamboo House' has developed an eco-friendly foot-operated bamboo hand sanitizer dispenser. Khechuperi Bamboo House, a bamboo and wood craft manufacturer, had recently developed a hands-free hand sanitizer dispenser using bamboo.
They demonstrated the device Monday at SDM?s office, Yuksam and donated one to the SDM office.
"The main purpose of developing this product is to help reduce contact and prevent the chances of infection. The dispenser will dispense hand sanitizer gel after you press the button with a foot," said the owner of Khechuperi Bamboo House, Indra Kari Limboo.
Khechuperi Bamboo House is locally famous for wooden and bamboo products. They manufacture various daily use products made from bamboo and wood.

The Yuksam-SDM Tshering T. Bhutia appreciated 'Khechuperi Bamboo House' for developing an eco-friendly and cost-effective hand sanitizer dispenser.

?I am hopeful that the invention of this device would control the spread of coronavirus from an infected person to others while using the same sanitizer bottle,? said SDM Tshering T. Bhutia lauding the Khechuperi Bamboo House for developing the device which he said would prevent cross contamination.
This device is mainly designed for use in public areas like government offices, hospitals and educational institutions. Bottles of different sizes from 250 ml to 1 litre can be attached at the sanitizer dispenser stand.
